Glerra Flatfoot

In-game Name: Glerra
Level: 25
Race: hobbit
Class: minstrel

Name: Glerra Flatfoot
Age: 30
Family: The Flatfoots have lived in Flathall for as long as hobbits can remember – although few indeed remember the Flatfoots. Though old, they’re a very small family, with no more than a handful wearing the name “Flatfoot” today. It has never been a custom of the family to have many children, and even out of those few many change their family names later to that of their wife’s of husband’s. The most notable event in the family’s history is the disappearance and later the reappearance of Halgard Flatfoot, Glerra’s great-grandfather, who founded Flathill and consequently the northern branch of Flatfoots. The two sides of the family are seperated by a great distance, as Flathall is located near Woodhall, and Flathill lies in Oatbaron. Despite this, the northern and southern Flatfoots keep in close contact.
Glerra’s father, Ferdson, is the son of Halgard’s eldest daughter, who came to Flathall shortly before her grandparents’ deaths. He’s a farmer by trade, but spends all the time he can on writing, a hobby which has not gained him popularity in the Shire. Instead of writing sensible books on family history or gardening, Ferdson writes about adventures: brave hobbit lads fighting invading goblins and wolves, hobbit archers fending off evil enemies in the north by a king’s side, and burglars sneaking off and adventuring with the big folk. Ferdson takes inspiration from legend and the occasional children’s tale, but he’s always quick to assure that he made a lot of things up all by himself. Not even his wife, Iris Burrowes by her maiden name, has much patience with his stories, but Glerra has always been eager to hear the newest chapter of a tale.
